Emma’s is a survivor. It was moved here to town by Emma and her husband, Gregory, from Revere Beach in the mid 60’s. The shop occupied a modest space on Huron Avenue in West Cambridge (does our front counter look familiar?) for a number of years before settling into our current location, on Hampshire Street in Kendall Square. The creative menu has evolved over the years, especially while Wendy Saver and David Rockwood steered the ship, or tugboat as it were, from 1995-2004. Luckily, they have now entrusted their work to us, and we’re here to deliver Emma’s both as it was intended, and sometimes not so much.
A pizza shop stuffed into a restaurant atmosphere. Inventive appetizers and salads are a wise place to start. Our sandwiches aren’t what you’d find in your typical neighborhood shop. We offer 2 dozen imaginative pizza flavor combinations or create your own concoctions from over 30 inspired toppings, 3 sauces and various cheeses. Our beverage list includes delicious brews and vintages to compliment our flavors.
Some might call our space tight, most think cozy by the time they’re hooked. Our tables turn fast so we can get everyone to their movies around the corner at the Kendall Cinema. Takeout is always available if you don’t have time to wait or if you’d just rather put your feet up at home.
Our crew is passionate. We come from all walks of life, different countries, different ambitions, different paths and different talents. We come together to put more care into your satisfaction than you’ll usually find, especially in this day and age of lost customer service. We have a regular base of customers who take excellent care of us and for that we are all thankful and commit to taking excellent care of you.
